Coweta’s finest son, Brant Frost V of the First Liberty banking dynasty and a stalwart leader within the Georgia Republican Assembly, is standing for Second Vice Chair of the Georgia GOP, a position for which he holds incumbency. We think he is worth supporting and we want our fellow Georgians to understand why.
Brant was first elected as Second Vice Chairman of the Georgia Republican Party in 2019, carrying the endorsement of heavyweight Senator Ted Cruz. In 2021, he was reelected to the position in a landslide on the balmy shores of Jekyl Island. During his tenure as Second Vice Chair he has made election integrity a priority and has served on the Election Confidence Task Force, which pressed for key election reform concepts such as requiring photo ID for all absentee ballot applications and eliminating unmanned drop boxes. He is worthy and, in every way, well-qualified for the position based on his established record of success while encumbered with the role. However, there is much more to know about Brant as we will soon see.
Brant comes from a fine political pedigree. He is sired by Brant Frost IV, an evangelical Christian conservative who served as the state chairman for both Pats Robertson (who, most unfortunately, passed away today) and Buchanan’s gutsy and culture-shaping political campaigns. Pat Buchanan’s 1992 presidential bid was an inflection point for American politics and a seminal moment for the strain of paleoconservative American nationalism that crystalized into the MAGA movement of the present day. Brant V inherited these nose-for-the-ball political instincts and intuitive sense of the future direction of the conservative movement from his father. Brant IV or Mr. Frost, if one will, went on to advise plucky political gadfly Alan Keyes and proud son of the South Roy Moore. Brant IV has been generous with his time and has given us plenty of advice on how to pitch business ideas that are worthy of funding. He is a true Southern gentleman and worth knowing in his own right. But we are here to talk about the current Brant Frost the younger.
Brant began his political career in earnest on April 15th, 2009, at a Tax Day protest at the tender age of 18. The precocious political handler was an early supporter of Josh McKoon, who is currently running at the top of the ticket for the GAGOP party Chairmanship. The synergies between the two have led to successful political campaigns in the recent past. This rosy partnership should now be given a chance to reach full bloom in this springtime for grassroots conservatism.
Brant has been horse whisperer for other thoroughbred state Senate aspirants such as Mike Crane and Colton Moore, positioning both men to push the the Georgia Senate further to the mighty right. Brant also helped elect arch-conservative state Rep. Phil Singleton to his north Coweta district. Though his influence extends beyond Georgia. He is associated with and has aided notables such as Anthony Sabatini and has also vocally supported perennially reliable right-wingers such as Kris Kobach. He has helped fundraise for current generation populist firebrands like Matt Gaetz.
Brant is consulted for his by-the-numbers takes on state and local elections by outlets such as the John Fredericks show. His encyclopedic knowledge of Georgia political history and command of mundane daily poll numbers make him a razor-sharp political commentator. Professionally, Brant is a fastidious and savvy Executive Vice President who helps steward First Liberty’s multimillion dollar funding portfolio (for funding opportunities that we are assured are definitely NOT investments). Personally, Brant is a history buff and news junkie with an insatiable appetite for information. A successful autodidact, Brant’s intellectual breadth and depth come from years of dedicated self-study.
We had the distinct pleasure of interviewing the precocious and ferocious Brant Frost V. In his own words, Brant says his motivations are, “To empower the grassroots with more tools of influence over the politicians.” That focus on the grassroots is the core essence of his work with the GAGOP and the Georgia Republican Assembly. He wishes to empower the ordinary citizens who are too often overlooked by establishment politics. He furthermore says that one of his most memorable accomplishments as Second Vice Chair is helping to pass the election integrity bill.
He wants to continue his daily work of raising funds and identifying strong candidates, yet he wants to make a focus on election integrity his top priority. To that end, he wants a strong majority of honest Republicans running elections, and he wants to push up-to-date and accurate data to local county Republican parties so they can keep voter rolls as pristine as possible. Additionally, he wants to establish a powerhouse legislative lobbying operation so that the right side of the party can successfully push its prerogatives into law and budget. Finally, on his future ambitions he says, “I have seen what it takes to seek office and I would only do it myself if I felt there were no one available to run who could win and serve better.”
Young men like Brant Frost and his allies are the future of the Georgia Republican Party. He is not running for a high-profile office that will give him the limelight because, unlike many with outsized political ambitions he is not self-obsessed and attention-seeking (frankly, Brant could use a touch of narcissism and a correspondent inclination towards self-promotion, as his humility and external focus often leave his litany of accomplishments without tout). He is running for an office that will allow a quiet professional like him to do the unglamorous tasks that are required to have depth and strength in the GAGOP. One hopes that Brant will someday become a powerful GA State Senator and, ultimately, Governor of the Great State of Georgia. Until then, he continues to be a disciplined and conscientious workman political activist who supports the success of the party.
